It’s been a stacked year for hardcore releases, and we’re not even halfway through 2018. High profile releases from Harm’s Way, Turnstile and more, plus smaller acts like Hell to Pay, Svalbard and Homewrecker, have all come out, but bands like Comess remind us that there’s still plenty of time left. Case in point: Botched & Flailed, the band’s new album. 11 tracks of brutalizing, noisy hardcore, the album should put Comess on the map for fans of noise and hardcore.
As heard on new track “Decrepit” is a dense mixture of noisy riffs, crushing rhythm section and angry vocals.
“This abysmal track has to do with the destructive properties of mental illness,” Comess state about the track. “We fucking hate it so we wrote this track about it. Fuck stress. Bang your head.”
