Blackgazers Nullingroots have only been around since 2014, but they’re now releasing their fourth full-length, Into the Grey. Originally started as the solo project of Cameron Boesch, Nullingroots evolved into a full band for this record. The result, which is streaming below exclusively through Decibel, is a step forward for the group, who fuse shoegaze’s shimmering textures with black metal’s raw aggression with ease on Into the Grey.
“Into the Grey is the first Nullingroots record written as a full group,” Boesch tells Decibel. “More influences, dynamics, and variations have been brought to the table. It is an all-round more complete sounding album than its predecessors.”
Into the Grey is out November 17 via Prosthetic Records.
