Hi! Give a brief history of Aether Void, music style, and the members.
Hi, thank you for this interview. Aether Void have been founded in November 2017 from the ashes of “No Way Out”. Three of the former members, Albi (Drums), Bruso (Bass) and Erik (Guitar) decided to continue playing and composing together, so they built up a new musical project.
The line up was completed some months later, when two new members joined the group: Thore as vocals and Bond as lead guitar.
In October 2018 we’ve completed the recording of our first studio album “Curse Of Life” at Art Distillery Studios in Modena, Italy.
Our sound is very powerful and aggressive heavy metal, with influences from both classic and modern.
Give in more detail, some information about “Curse of Life” and how well it sells?
“Curse of life” is the conclusion of a long period of compositions and sound research.
We’ve started to record the album in October 2018.
All the themes in the album are a part of everyone’s life. We’re constantly in search of our own identity and a satisfying position inside the society.
Some of these themes are: the faith, the deception, the death but also self-redemption.
“Curse of Life” connects two opposed concepts: the first extremely negative (the curse) and the second deeply positive (the life).
Aether Void has signed with Revalve records, tell more about that?
We are proud to work with the guys of Revalve Records, they are always very helpful and patient with us. They’re doing a great job and we are grateful to them.
What is the difference between your latest and the very first records?
We’ve grown up a lot in these years.
The latest records was inspired by thrash metal music. “Curse of Life” move away from this concept and was inspired by melodic heavy metal, spending much more time in sound researching.
What inspires Aether Void music and lyric writing? What does Aether Void lyrics talk about?
The songs starts from the ideas of Albi, Erik and Bruso. Some of the lyrics are inspired by true facts or our life experiences, for exemple “Golden Blood” or “Misleading Promises”.
Do you play live often? Do you like abroad gigs?
Yes, for now we’ve done just one gig, the release party of the album. Soon we’ll announce other dates!
How often does the band practice and work on new material?
We are used to practice all together at least ones a week to prepare the gigs. We always at work on new stuff. We really loved it.
How did the band come up with the name Aether Void and tell what does it means for you?
The name “Aether Void” was proposed by Thore at the beginning of our story. This name is the metaphor of the confusion and loneliness that everyone feel in their own life.
What does the band plan on doing in near time?
Now we are focused on the promotion of our album. We will release 3 other music video in the next few months but first of all our aim is to play live in many different countries.
Any message to Sick and Destroy readers?
Thank you all! You can listen our new album on every digital platform as Spotify, Deezer, iTunes etc… and we hope to play in your country soon!
