TRVE, Left Hand, Burial Announce Beers for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest

The left hand path has been inseparable from extreme metal since its inception (make sure you’re present for Mayhem’s Easter Sunday service, if you don’t believe us), so Decibel is happy to welcome Left Hand Brewing as a late addition to Decibel Metal & Beer Fest.

Their unique beers are a welcome addition to the fest.

Milk Stout Nitro (Sweet Stout, 6.8% ABV)
Taking America Back. Dark & delicious, America’s great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be. Pouring hard out of the bottle, Milk Stout Nitro cascades beautifully, building a tight, thick head like hard whipped cream. Milk Stout Nitro is also good to go from the can with widget inside technology, or like a pro in a glass. The aroma is of brown sugar and vanilla cream, with hints of roasted coffee. The pillowy head coats your upper lip and its creaminess entices your palate. Initial roasty, mocha flavors rise up, with slight hop & roast bitterness in the finish. The rest is pure bliss of milk chocolate fullness.

Left Hand IPA (American IPA, 6.6%)
Pale orange, light maltiness. Hop profile of orange, passionfruit, peach and lemon.

Returning this year is flagship brewery TRVE, who score enough kvlt points to be one of the most metal breweries at Decibel Metal & Beer Fest on their name alone. The Khemmis-affiliated brewery will be bringing:

CURSED (Mixed Culture Pale Ale, 5.4% ABV)

COLD (Pilsner, 4.9% ABV)

Burial will also be back for another round, featuring a collaboration with Decibel Metal & Beer Fest alumni Holy Mountain.

The Plague (Brett IPA, 6% ABV)
To eliminate the muck of the earth, you must first encounter that which is known to be evil. Brewed with barley and wheat, this Burial fave is hopped with Mosaic, Ella, Eureka and Citra hops. This hop blend is added during fermentation to accentuate the vivid tropical aromas of our house brettanomyces, which was solely used to ferment this pungent and juicy hoppy ale.

Ulfberht (Baltic Porter with Juniper, 7.8%)
Between these jagged edges lays the storied steel wielded by mortals to please the gods of war and death. Forged from German and British malts, fermented upon juniper berries and traditionally lagered, our Baltic Porter is made with respect for those that came before it. The result is a mildly spiced but highly aromatic black lager with an ever-present aroma of chocolate, licorice, and roasted nuts. Fear not the presence of the blade, for today’s prize knows no wrath.

Bonedagger (Pale Ale, 5%)
Deep within our very bodies resides the punishing truth and morbid drive to forge the tools for a path to enlightenment. This Pale is made from wheat from three varietals; malted red wheat, flaked wheat, and raw NC-grown wheat. Bonedagger offers a round mouthfeel and a midly-sweet grain presence, but is dry-hopped with dank and peachy Citra hops and Simcoe Lupulin Powder that take this Pale to the bounds of the style.

Ambient Terrain: Pools Of Emerald Green (Holy Mountain Collab, 5%)
Exploration of the cosmic intensity of the great Northwest dictates that we explore the oneness of malt and hops with this pale lager. Made with our great friends and fellow lager stewards at Seattle’s Holy Mountain Brewing, this beer exhibits the Washington-grown barley and wheat, paired with Yakima Valley Comet and Cascade hops. It is the best expression that our 2 breweries could hope to offer, teeming with bright citrus zest, green grass and dry effervescence.
