At the inaugural Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, the two most frequently asked questions were: “Will this be an annual festival?” usually followed by “Will Adroit Theory be there next year?” The answer to both questions was a resounding yes, so we spoke with Adroit Theory’s Mark Osborne to learn what beers they’ll be bringing to the festival, including a collab with Dan Lilker (Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, Brutal Truth, SOD, everything).
Therapy Sessions – Imperial Stout with Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, Toasted Coconut, Hazelnut, and Bourbon Infused Honey. Big and boozy, but with beautiful adjuncts to make it incredible. ABV 13%
Illusion of Safety – Passion Fruit + Pink Guava Gose. Tart and outrageously fruity. Is it beer or is it alcoholic fruit juice? ABV 4.5%
Tenebris – Double Barrel Aged Barleywine. As complex as beer gets. Aged in Meyers Dark Rum Barrels before being conditioned in Bourbon Barrels. It’s a BOOZY one for sure. ABV 10%
Personal Coma – Northeast Style Double IPA. Hazy, juicy, aromatic, yet low bitterness. Can you say crushable? This is the beer we brewed with Dan Lilker. ABV 8.5%. Note, this is a working title.
