Hail, welcome to Sick And Destroy. Before we start the interview, I would like you to introduce yourself to our readers. To begin with where are you from and a brief history about your band?
Hi there! We come from Poland, and our band was formed by Mateusz Gajdzik and Robert Zembrzycki. Who were friends for a few years now, and always wanted to play something together.
How would you describe your music? And what bands have influenced you the most?
Well, we have tons of influences, ranging from Decapitated to Iced Earth, and from Hans Zimmer to Machine Head.
How many and which albums/demos has VANE released so far?
So far we have only released one EP and we’re working on a full length album and hoping to release it in 2018.
Which ones happens to be your favourite songs? of VANE and personal.
Me personally I like Your Pain I Am, because it’s the first song we decided to work on, and I have a lot of good memories with how it came to be.
Do you feel that VANE’s music has changed over the years and how?
Not much, since we formed about a year ago, and only have 3 songs released.
How much time does it take for VANE to record an album?
We don’t know it yet, but hopefully not too long.
Tell us something more about the latest stuff ‘The prologue’.
It’s a beginning of a larger story, about an actual historical figure. To find out who it is, you’d have to carefully listen to the lyrics and do a bit of a research, but it shouldn’t be too hard to find out. The full album will feature this characters whole life.
Whats next? Working on any new album? If so, some details please.
We’re working on an LP, hopefully it’ll be done in 2018, so we can start touring next autumn.
Any tours, gigs for promotion of latest album?
Nope, we’ll start gigging after the LP
Any future plans for playing in Europe or USA?
Waaaaaaay too early to tell, but we’d love to!
Has VANE done any opening acts for other major heavy weight bands? If yes, then when and where?
Again – it’s too early for us, we just stared. However our members have supported many major acts in their respective careers. Just to name a few – Korn, Manowar, Nile, Eluveitie, Decapitated, Vader, Behemoth.
What do you feel about the Metal Scene there in your country?
It’s a diverse and complex environment, as everywhere I’m sure. Sometimes a tad too harsh, maybe, but there are a lot of good friends there, for each member of our band, so all in all, it’s where we come from, and I guess we all can’t imagine our lives without it.
Any messages for the readers?
Thanks for taking your time to read about VANE – give us a spin on the ol’ Youtube, and should you find us to your liking, then stay tuned for much more in near future. THANKS!
