Interview RAPTORE

Hi, RAPTORE. Your last album “Rage N’ Fever” released on July 21. You must be still excited?
Hi everybody! Of course we are! It’s not a common thing for a small southamerican band like us to release an album in Europe, so we are very proud and happy!

First of all, we would like to know about the formation of the band. When and how was it formed? Do you think the band name ‘RAPTORE’ perfectly decribes your music and philosophy?
We started in mid 2012. Lots of members passed through since then, being Michel Amir (bass) and I the only two who have stayed from the beginning. It’s not easy to find suitable musicians here in Argentina. About the name, I think it fits right: it’s short, catchy and agressive.

Okay now tell us something about “Rage N’ Fever”, and the lyrical themes behind each track. What are the ideas you wanted to put across?
Our lyrics are all about speed and death basically, no political shit or anything like that.

Where and when did you record “Rage N’ Fever”? Are you satisfied with it?
We recorded it at Studio Enfermo in Buenos Aires. The sessions were short as I had to get to work, but it was the only way to do it. Also Michel who lived in the south of the country at that time, came specifically to record his parts. It wasn’t the ideal situation but as I said before it was the only way we could do it.

Are you gonna to release some official band merch?
We released some official shirts and patches and we sold ’em fast so now we’re printing new stuff.

What are RAPTORE’s musical and non-musical influences?
Death, thrash, speed, southern rock, blues, AOR, pop, movies, literature… you never know where ideas could come from!

Could you please express your personal views on religion and god?
They totally suck!

Shall we expect some gigs across USA or Europe near time?
Hope so! Nothing solid yet but we’re looking for it!

When shall fans to expect something new from you? Videoclip, single, documentary etc?
We already released videoclips for ‘Night On Fire’ and ‘My Own Grave’, you can find them on YouTube. We’re currently writing the new stuff for the second album.

Thanks a lot for the interview. Speak out to your fans, supporters, critics and our readers before we wrap up!
Thanks to you for your interest in Raptore! We hope we can play there soon!
