Interview Let Them Fall

Hail Let Them Fall band, welcome to Sick And Destroy. Before we start the interview, I would like you to introduce yourself to our readers. To begin with where are you from and a brief history about your band?
Hi there! Thanks for the opportunity you’re giving us! We’re Let Them Fall, a metalcore project based in Grosseto (Italy) and active since 2013. The members are Rita D’Aniello (Vocals), Gabriele Catoni (Guitar/Vocals), Mario Spatuzzi (Bass), Marco Manus (Drums) and Mattia Detti (Guitar).
How would you describe your music? And what bands have influenced you the most?
Our most recent songs can be classified as a melodic metalcore with hardcore influences and symphonic elements. The bands that give us the best inspiration are definitely The Ghost inside, Architects and While She Sleeps.
How many and which albums/demos has Let Them Fall released so far?
We released our first EP “No More Silence” in 2013, and our 2nd EP “Of Kings & Heroes” in 2015. During the past months we put out 2 singles called “Fenrir” and “Wintersun” as a preview of our next work.
Which ones happens to be your favourite songs? of Let Them Fall and personal.
That’s a really difficult question, we listen to a lot of different genres and we don’t have a real favourite artist/band. As far as our songs are concerned there is one in particular, “Shape Of Glory”, that means a lot to us cause the lyrics are quite personal and we can relate to them.
Do you feel that Let Them Fall’s music has changed over the years and how?
We started as an hardcore punk band so we can say that our sound has been evolving and becoming more metal during the years, due to some line up and influences changes.
How much time does it take for Let Them Fall to record an album?
It depends on how many songs we have to write and how much we are motivated in that period, usually from 3 to 6 months.
Tell us something more about the latest album ‘Wintersun’.
As we said, our last single “Wintersun” will be a part of the next concept we’re working on. For this one we made a little change in our usual thematics, creating a darker and deeper atmosphere that hopefully can be related with the cold winter.
Whats next? Working on any new album? If so, some details please.
Cannot say anything sure about that at the moment. We’re constantly in studio and we’re satisfied of what we’ve created so far. We’re giving you guys some update in a very short time.
Any tours, gigs for promotion of latest album?
Recently we took a little break from live shows in order to dedicate ourselves to the new songs but we’re ready to come back on stage from September on.
Any future plans for playing in Europe or USA?
Of course! If there will be a chance to hit Europe or even USA in 2018 we’ll be very glad to do that. There are many countries in which we would be pleased to play some show.
Has Let Them Fall done any opening acts for other major heavy weight bands? If yes, then when and where?
Our first opening act for a bigger band has been in 2013 in Florence with Thell Barrio, a mexican hardcore band. In the same venue we opened bands like Upon a Burning Body (2015) and Jinjer (2016).
What do you feel about the Metal Scene there in your country?
Here in Italy we got a lot of talented bands and many people who support the underground. Feel like that, despite the absence of venues for this kind of music, we could not ask anything better from this country, we’re so proud to be part of this scene.
Any messages for the readers?
We’d like to thank all the people who made this project possible, especially the ones that keep supporting us every day and the ones that after reading this interview will give us a chance.
Thank you Sick And Destroy for this opportunity.
