Interview BLUT

Hi! Give a brief history of BLUT, music style, and the members.

M: Hi Sick and destroy, Blut is a strange creature born as a solo project in 2014 on the day after the dead of Anthologies, Alessandro Schümperlin’s last band. Alessandro tried to put all his heart and soul in this idea, so he started to wrote music and lyrics for a new album. On this way he met Giulio Capone (ex Bejelit and Ex Temperance) in the early 2015 and he asked him for an help with arrangements and recording at his Music Ink Studio, so Blut had the first mutation and it became a real project.

After that, Alessandro and Giulio invited some musicians to record some parts in it; Davide Rigamonti (Eternal Silence) offered his ability for the guitars, Me and Silvia Sciacca (Ex Clothes of death) sang the female parts of the first album called “Inside my mind part I”; In this you can find others musicians like, Matteo Calautti (ex nightside) at drums, Niccolò Paracchini (ex locus animae) for some programming.

In June 2015 came out the firt single “Forget Paris”, and in November 2015 Blut released the second single realized with Andrea Falaschi (Deathless Legacy) from the song “Inside the Evil”.
In January 2016 me, Alessandro and Valentina Carlone (she is our performer) became the first core group of Blut and we search others musicians for a regular lineup, at the same time Alessandro wrote other materials, with me, for the second album “Inside my mind part II” closing the concept, helped again by Giulio Capone.
At the end of may 2016 we involved in Blut Vittorio Rondino (ex True endless) for the guitars and in June we release the new single “Jerusalem calls me” creating an official videoclip recorded and edited by Andrea Falaschi; in the same periods we met Fabio “Attacco” Tocco (Rideout) who took part at the bass  as a session man.  In December we signed a deal with Ausr Ltd.-Secret Sound for digital distribution of the first album and the new one. In  February 2017 we had the first live show with Davide De Carli (Hidden memories) at the drums as session man and we singned a deal with Sliptrick Records for worldwide distribution of our “Inside my mind part II” in physic cd.

In May 2017 we had the release party of our new cd, with a new session drummer Alessandro Boraso. And so here we are.

Give in more detail, some information about your latest album “Inside My Mind Part II” and how well it sells?

M: “Inside my mind part II” is the second part, obviously of a great concept, as I said here up, and it close the cirlce opened with “inside my mind part I”  It have less “artistic license” and it’s more structured. It’s sells in physic way on the Sliptrick records shop, on all the Sliptrick dealers and on our shop. If you come to see our gigs at the merchandise table. In digital version in all the major digital stores by Secret Sound Records AUSR Ltd

BLUT has signed with Sliptrick records, tell more about that?

M: Alessandro asked to several recods companies, and one of the first responders who like us was Sliptrick records, they tell us that they are interested on our work, and on our attitude. So we signed with Sliptrick.

What is the difference between your latest and the very first records?

M: The first album was more of a 360-degree artistic venture than a reasoned work. But all in all is fine, so we can define “inside my mind part I” as the starting point for Blut. The new work, “inside my mind part II” is more structured, more reasoned and let’s say more album and less vent. Then it has a more Germanic and Scandinavian appeal than the previous work.

What inspires BLUT music and lyric writing? What does BLUT lyrics talk about?

M: What insipres Blut?… Well in few words: everythigs is weird. By now our lyrics talk about some mental illness, not the “normals” and “populars” illness just the weird ones. For example the ekbom syndrome, The Cotard’s syndrome, The Paris syndrome and so on. For the future… Maybe something different.

Do you play live often? Do you like abroad gigs?

We formally started in february to play live and in may we started our “Road outside our mind tour”. Me, Vittorio and Alessandro played “outside” Italy with other bands; me with Eternal Silence, Vittorio with The true endless untill he staied with them and Alessandro with Anthologies. and It’s a very special feeling playing in other countries. We still organizing something special and who knows…

How often does the band practice and work on new material?

Normally we have one a week rehearsals togheter and than we work at home for personal practice. For the new work is just earlier, but we have some riff for the new album.

How did the band come up with the name BLUT and tell what does it means for you?

Blut is a german word for “Blood” something inside us, blood is life and the only thing it can’t lie; it smell like “we don’t say bullshit” or “we have just one words” you know what I mean? Something like Al Pacino said in Scarface “All I got in this world is my balls and my word and I don’t break either of ’em for nobody!”.

What does the band plan on doing in near time?

Shows, Shows and Shows in the nearly future, big festivals in the medium and medium-long term a new record.
