Hail, welcome to Sick And Destroy. Before we start the interview, I would like you to introduce yourself to our readers. To begin with where are you from and a brief history about your band?
My name is Chris and people normally associate me with my main band Therion.
Luciferian Light Orchestra was formed some years ago as a mean of recording and performing unused song I’ve been writing over the years that sounded too vintage for Therion.
How would you describe your music? And what bands have influenced you the most? I see there are ’70s probably, what makes your music enough tasty!
Occult 70’s sound with clear musical influences from Black Widow, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep. Some small Richie Blackmore influences as well.
How many and which albums/demos has Luciferian Light Orchestra released so far?
One full album, a flexi and a 4-track EP.
Which ones happens to be your favourite songs? of Luciferian Light Orchestra and personal.
Fave LLO song is probabaly Dante and Diabaulus.
Do you feel that Luciferian Light Orchestra’s music has changed over the years and how?
The EP has some songs that are longer and more complex, the debut album was more straight to it.
How much time does it take for Luciferian Light Orchestra to record an album?
Few weeks if working consistantly. Our only full lenght album was recorded bits here and there over a years time.
Tell us something more about the latest EP ‘Black’.
Main reason for it was because we had the song ”Where the Lilies Grow” left from the debut album recordings, in a version I wasn’t entierly happy with. The song is from 1995 and if it waited this long I wanted to have it done properly. So it was partly re-recorded and remixed. I also decided to have LLO re-record two left out Therion tracks (”Serpent Messiah” and ”Thunder Perfect Mind”) and to also put in a leftover from the LLO debut called”.
Whats next? Working on any new album? If so, some details please.
I have 6-7 songs ready, but as Therion naturally is my priority I don’t know when I will have time to record them. In some year from now maybe.
Any tours, gigs for promotion of latest album?
The band toured in Latin America in 2015 and in Europe this year back in January.
Any future plans for playing in Europe or USA?
No more touring planned until the next album is out.
Has Luciferian Light Orchestra done any opening acts for other major heavy weight bands? If yes, then when and where?
Yes, the tours LLO did was supporting Therion.
What do you feel about the Rock/Metal Scene there in your country?
It’s pretty diverse and interesting. There is a big interest in music in Sweden and the tate is giving good support to young people who wants to try their luck with music.
